1. Subscription Tiers
🆓 Free Tier — $0/month
Access to the public roast archive, free article drops, and the public dispatch lane. No credit card required.
🔥 Vulgar Tier
Everything in Free, plus the sharper member rewrite, full paid archive access, ad-free reading when signed in, the dedicated Vulgar member lane, and member merch/drop perks.
💀 Unhinged Tier
Everything in Vulgar, plus the Unhinged vault lane, the leanest premium cuts, priority merch routing, and access to the custom roast request lane through the Unhinged inbox. Age requirement: 18+. By subscribing to the Unhinged tier, you certify that you are at least 18 years old. We rely on self-certification presented during account creation and again at the point of upgrade or access for age-restricted content.
2. Billing
Paid subscriptions are billed monthly (or annually where available), beginning on the date you subscribe. All payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your full card details.
Prices are in USD. Stated prices may be exclusive of VAT or sales tax. Stripe collects applicable taxes where required by law. If payment fails, we will retry your payment method up to 3 times over 7 days. You will receive an email notification after each failed attempt. After 3 failed retries, your subscription will be downgraded to the Free tier.
3. Auto-Renewal
Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before renewal date. You'll be charged the then-current rate for the billing interval you selected at checkout.
4. Cancellation
Cancel anytime, one click, from account settings. No cancellation fees. No penalties. No guilt trip.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep access until then. You will not be charged again.
EU subscribers: You have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the date of initial subscription. To exercise this right, contact [email protected] within 14 days of your first payment. We will process your refund promptly in accordance with applicable EU consumer protection law.
5. Refund Policy
- Monthly: No refunds for the current period. Cancel to stop future charges.
- Annual: Full refund within 14 days of the start of each annual term. After that, annual plans are non-refundable; cancel to stop the next renewal.
6. Pricing Changes
We may update subscription pricing in the future. If we change pricing for active subscribers, we will provide advance notice by email before the new rate takes effect on a future renewal.
7. Tier Changes
Upgrades: Immediate effect, prorated charge for the difference.
Downgrades: Take effect at the end of the current billing period.
8. After Cancellation
Your account and history remain intact. You're moved to the Free tier, not deleted. Re-subscribe anytime to restore paid access. Your personal data following cancellation is handled per our Privacy Policy.
9. Account Sharing
Subscriptions are for individual use only. Shared accounts may be suspended.
10. Dispute Resolution
All disputes regarding subscriptions are governed by our Terms of Service, including the binding arbitration clause.
11. Changes
We may update pricing or terms with 14 days' advance email notice where required. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated terms.
